E-Rare Workshop on data sharing and harmonization

E-Rare is a European Area Network for Research Programs on Rare Diseases. It gathers 26 funding organizations from 18 European, Associated and non-European countries. The principal goal of E-Rare is the maximization of scarce resources and coordination of efforts to develop research in the area of rare diseases via systematic funding and exchange of best practices.

The E-Rare workshop on data sharing and harmonization aims at improving the process of sharing and harmonization as well as to allow open discussion on further needs. Top specialists in the field will present not only the latest update on the state-of-the-art but also available tools, including hands-on practical session.

The workshop will take place on the 4th of May in Berlin, Germany at the Ramada hotel and will be preceded by a poster session in the late afternoon of the 3rd of May. This workshop will be organized back to back to the RD-Connect, NeurOmics and EURenOmics meeting.

The conference sessions will be composed of plenary session, round table discussion and hands on session to discuss the following topics:

  • Application of the data sharing policies and recommendations by the researchers
  • Data sharing and harmonization tools and platforms
  • Integrating, tools, platforms and patients participation: what is desirable and how to get there?
  • « Hands on » experience
